Life is better when you have great friends!

For many years now, I have hosted LAN parties at my house. In the beginning it was throwing any tables together and just gaming it up, and through the years I have obtained enough folding tables for everyone, chairs, 96 switch ports, dedicated server, etc. I usually cook dinner for everyone, and breakfast for those who spend the night.

Last weekend I hosted a LAN, and 20 people attended. Everything was clicking right along, when a friend hushed everyone up, then informed me that they had all thrown hardware or cash together to replace my 5 year old computer with a brand new one!!! Needless to say, I was speechless (and within moments had my old PC un-hooked and was frantically plugging the new one in!)

I wanted to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed, and to all of those who attend my LAN parties. I always have a blast hosting them, and with my new rig I will have even more fun playing at them. My friends mean a lot to me, and it gives me a warm fuzzy to know I mean a lot to them as well. Thank you all!

For the geeks, here was my goody:

Intel Core 2 Duo (dual 1.86 cores)

2 gigs of DDR2

Geforce 8400GS 256 meg

80 gig SATA drive

ANTEC black tower case and power supply

As all good software developers know...

SY0-101 pros who are done with the actual tests of 70-649 as well as 70-270 usually move towards software development. Thos who have not done their 646-204 are not qualified for this though.

How to NOT ship a computer

Packaging costs too high? Do you not have the original packing material your computer came with? Just slap a label on it and ship it out, and hope it makes it =)

This was actually shipped from one of our company locations, and made it 1/2 way across the country with minimal damage.

The actual exam of 642-901 deals with things a lot more tougher than shipping computers. Students who have written their 220-601 or 70-620 are well aware of this. However the 1Y0-259 candidates are in for a surprise.
