How to NOT ship a computer

Packaging costs too high? Do you not have the original packing material your computer came with? Just slap a label on it and ship it out, and hope it makes it =)

This was actually shipped from one of our company locations, and made it 1/2 way across the country with minimal damage.

The actual exam of 642-901 deals with things a lot more tougher than shipping computers. Students who have written their 220-601 or 70-620 are well aware of this. However the 1Y0-259 candidates are in for a surprise.

Why is Coldfusion so expensive?

As most CFers know by now, there has been a big stink about an article by Computerworld about how Coldfusion is a dead or dying language. Well, thecrumb.com has a reply here ( http://www.thecrumb.com/2007/05/25/coldfusion-not-dead-but-it-could-be-better/ ) that I wanted to reply too!

Things you should not assume while troubleshooting with end users

Have you ever got done with a 30 minute call only to find that the person on the other end has not satisfied what you thought would be common knowledge? Here is a list of things you should NOT assume the person on the other end knows.

1) The buttons on the mouse face away from you. "Im double clicking and nothing is happening...... Ohhhh, Im supposed to hold it THIS way!"

2) The meaning of Case Sensitive Use smaller words, like Upper Case or Big Letters

3) The spelling of seemingly simple words. You know how you have to read out passwords over a cell phone, and often say a common word that starts with the letter you are trying to get at, right? Cat - Frank - Dog? Well, down south, Cat is spelled with a K. This could have saved me about 20 minutes of headache!

Im sure there are more, but these made me laugh today =)
